Our next Book Club meeting will be coming up on the first Saturday of April 2021. This time, we will be reviewing Flora Nwapa’s "Women Are Different".
Women Are Different is a book that follows the lives of three friends before, during and after the Nigerian-Biafra war and the challenges of educated women of the time.
Flora Nwapa has been described as the Mother of African Literature. She was the first African female novelist to be published in the English language in Britain. Some of her works include: Efuru, Idu, Never Again, One is Enough and 2 collections of short stories - This is Lagos and Wives at War.
